 Class 1

Barryroe Show Society offers 3 premiums of €50 each to owners with mares 4 years and over likely to produce a high class hunter.

1. All mares will have their IHR Passport inspected
2. Each mare entered must have a foal at foot or be stinted to an IHR approved stallion.
3. No premiums to be paid until day of 2014 show provided the mare and foal are exhibited on day of show.
4. Covering Cert to be produced.

Class 2

The ISA and Ennis Show Society present The All Ireland Thomond Brood Mare Championship - Qualifier

Rules and Conditions

1. Entries are confined to Mares registered in the Irish Horse Register with the breed codes ISH, RID or ID;  Horses must be sired by a stallion that is classified as Approved/Preliminary Approved/ Supplementary Approved/Recognised/Preliminary Recognised in the Irish Sport Horse Studbook or a stallion that is classified as CLASS 1 in the Irish Draught Horse Studbook.
2. Mares must have both sire and dam recorded on their passport; The class is also open to Weatherby's registered animals, the progeny of Weatherby's Thoroughbred Stallions that are not classified as Not Approved (NA1) or Not Approved 2 (NA2) in the Irish Horse Register.
3. All mares must have a foal at foot by a recommended for breeding(approved)Stallion or preliminary recommended for breeding Stallion or Class 1 (RID) Irish Draught Stallion or by a Stallion that is registered in Weatherby's Non Thoroughbred Register.
4. The Mare's passport will be inspected before judging commences at both the qualifiers and final. Exhibitors failing to produce a passport will be debarred from competing.
5. All foals must be led at the qualifiers and the final.
6. Animals qualified for the Final are not eligible to enter any other class at Co Clare Show other than qualifying classes for other finals.
7. Two mares to qualify at each show provided the judges and the ISA agree the standard is high enough.
8. These rules should be read in conjunction with the Irish Shows Association Rules & the Co Clare Society Rules

Prizes At Final: Champion - €600, Reserve - €300, 3rd - €200, 4th - €150, 5th - €100.
The foals of the qualified Broodmares are eligible to enter the domestic classes and qualifiers. Entries for these foals will be accepted on the morning of the Show.
A prize will be presented for Combination of Best Turned Out Mare and Most Suitably Dressed Handler.

Bantry Show Society Presents
The Bantry Show I.D. Foal Munster Championship 2013 - Qualifier

Rules and Conditions

1. The aim of this championship is to encourage the breeding of Irish Draught foals.
2. The championship is open to all foals eligible for R.I.D. status.
3. One foal to be selected at each qualifier. A second foal may be selected at the discretion of the judges.
4. The dam's passport must be produced for inspection at the qualifying rounds and at the final.
5. The foal's passport must be produced at the final.
6. One of the judges at the qualifying shows to be from the I.D.H.S. Panel of judges, if possible.
7. Foals competing at the final are ineligible to compete in any other class at Bantry Show.
8. There will be separate classes for colt foals and filly foals at the final.
9. The champion will be selected from the winners of each class.
10. These rules should be read in conjunction with the Irish Shows Association Rules.

8. Foals qualified for Final are not eligible to enter any other class at Show in which the final is held (other than qualifying classes for other finals).
9. These rules should be read in conjunction with the I.S.A. Rules.

5. Mare's passport will be inspected on the day

Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine Notice - March 2012 - Specific requirements Horses and other Equines. Premises Registration - As from 1 May 2012, any premises (which include shows, fairs and markets) where horses or other equines are gathered must be registered with the Department. Owners/persons in charge of such gatherings are required to submit a completed application for registration and keep records of movements on/off the premises.
Records must be retained for at least 3 years as they may be required by the department for the purposes of tracing disease. Records required are - the name and address of the owner/person in charge of the premises from which the equine came from and premises registration number from which the equine came and Passport Number/UEL number of the Animal.
It is important therefore that show organisers should contact their local District Veterinary Office in advance so that consideration can be given to compliance with the requirements outlined above. Any further information on the requirements for moving horses and equines to shows will be provided on the Department’s website at: http://www.agriculture.gov.ie/animalwelfare/animalidentificationmovement
